Gaming The System.
What's the eventual consequence facing those who game the social media world into thinking they have influence?
I see it every day. People begging for retweets, +1s, +Ks, Likes, comments, love my blog, love my dog, love my cat, love my video of my cat, take me viral, make me famous.
You name it, they beg for it. All to boost the appearance of their influence in the world of social media.
And you know what? For a while it works. People get notoriety. People get recognized. People get a few perks, gift bags, t-shirts they wear once, tickets in coach, tiny hotel rooms, rubber chicken dinners and watered down cocktails. People get handed their fifteen minutes… and then poof, it's over.
Then what?
